Job Title: Carpenter

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

·    Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine materials, dimensions & installation procedures

·         Select correct timbers and materials

·         Prepare the layout of the project

·         Cut timber, materials, assemble and install parts

·         Erect frames and trusses

·         Install wallboards and floorboards

·         Nail fascia panels, sheath roofs, and fit exterior wall cladding and door and window frames

·         Verify trueness of structure

·         Interior lining and finish

·         Inspect places and conduct repairs, maintenance, or renovations

·         Ensure workmanship and observe health and safety regulations

·         Any other duties the employer may reasonably require the employee to perform

 

Permanent full-time position

Minimum guaranteed hours: 30 hours per week

Hourly rate: NZD $26.0 -32.00, depending on skills and experience.

 

Requirements for the job:

·  Applicants should meet one of the following: At least 1 year of relevant work experience in a related industry/field; OR A Level 4 or higher qualification in a related field; OR A Bachelor Degree or higher qualification in any major.

·         Be physically fit and healthy.

·         Available to work full-time, with flexibility to work on weekends when required.

·         No criminal record.

·         Candidates need to be NZ citizen/resident.
