About Role

We are looking for two reliable and motivated painters to join our team, working on a variety of residential and commercial painting projects. These

are full-time, permanent positions based in Papakura,South Auckland, offering a guaranteed minimum of 35hours per week with the potential for overtime. The total hours, including any overtime, will not exceed 45 hours

per week.

The pay rate ranges from $30 to $31 per hour,depending on experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Secure the work area by following Health and Safetyregulations and in-house safety plans

Conduct safety checks before starting work to ensurethe area is safe for workers and visitors

Safely use ladders and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering

Prepare surfaces by removing old paint and fixingwoodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothingand sealing surfaces

Selecting and preparing paints to the required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives

Applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces usingbrushes, rollers and sprays

Cleaning equipment and work areas after finishingwork

Help in loading and unloading painting equipment and paint materials when required

 

Requirements:

At least one year of experience in either the painting or construction trade at any position

Good understanding of painting tools, paintingtechniques and paint specifications

Good knowledge of Health and Safety and experience in using ladders

Physically fit and able to perform manual labour tasks

Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
