Heavy Truck Driver

This is a full-time permanent position

Hours of work: Minimum 30 (Max 40) must be prepared to work on the weekends and public holidays. (Rotating shifts)

Business Hours: Monday – Sunday 24hour / 7day operations

Place of Employment: Auckland 

Wages: Range from $35.00 - $38.00 an hour 

We are seeking 4 dedicated Heavy Truck Drivers (Class 4) to join our waste management operations in Auckland. This is an excellent opportunity for hardworking individuals who are ready to step into a critical role and help our team meet growing demand. Out of 5 days a week (Rostered), 3 days you will be also going to be a runner and driver, lifting bins and emptying into the truck. You may also get opportunity to work on tipper truck if any vacancies arise

Skills Required: Preferred applicant with a Class 4 driving license (or equivalent as permitted by NZTA) with minimum of one year’s driving experience. Must be physically fit as the work requires lifting and emptying rubbish bins into the truck (up to 700+ stops per day)

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the safe operation of Class 4 and other heavy vehicles used in waste collection services.

You may be required to work on small class 2 truck as and when required.

Physical fitness essential nature of work requires frequent entry/exit from vehicle cab Manual handling:

Must have a clean history of driving trucks.

Applicants should have good medical history and have clear character history.

Able to do drug tests as and when required.

Able to work in shift or rotation.

Able to work on weekends and start early and finish late.

Part of the job is to clean the spill from the street( Required you to use broom to clean the waste spill from the bins into the truck)
