Shotover Canyon Swing is looking for a Sales Manager to join our small, hands on team at Queenstown’s original canyon swing. This is a permanent, Queenstown based role focused on trade relationships and growing how our experiences are sold locally and internationally.

About the Role

This role reports directly to the General Manager and has responsibility for day to day sales activity and trade relationships.

As Sales Manager, you will manage and grow key partnerships while helping shape how our experiences are sold across different channels. You will have the space to contribute ideas, make decisions, and influence sales direction, with support from the wider team.

You will work closely with marketing, reservations, and operations to ensure what we sell reflects what we deliver, and that partners and guests have a great experience from start to finish.

What You Will Be Doing

• Managing and growing relationships with inbound operators, travel agents, wholesalers, and online partners

• Acting as the main point of contact for trade and sales partners

• Identifying new opportunities, markets, and distribution channels

• Supporting pricing, sales planning, and promotional activity

• Tracking sales performance and contributing to reporting and budget discussions

• Representing the business at trade events, industry functions, and networking opportunities

• Working alongside marketing to support campaigns and brand activity

• Being a positive and professional ambassador for the brand

• Being a small company this role also requires working in our Queenstown Town shop selling products and handling check ins, Driving trips to site and hosting along with working at our Arthurs point jump site checking customers in.

 

What We Are Looking For

At least 2+yr of Sales experience

Sales Manager experience within Tourism industry is essential

Full NZ drivers licence with P endorsement (or at least held full for 2 years)

Experience with Microsoft 365 programs  and CRM platforms

Experience with Tradeshows and Sales conferences a benefit

Experience with tourism distribution channels such as inbound, wholesale, and OTAs is helpful

Working alone or in sole charge role also a benefit

Must be available to work weekends and public holidays
