Karmaa Limited is a reputable logistics and warehouse operation company with branches in Auckland, Hamilton, and Christchurch, dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our clients. We are currently seeking a skilled Truck Driver for a full-time permanent position, with a minimum of 32.5 hours and a maximum of 45 hours per week. In this role, you will play a crucial part in transporting goods safely and efficiently across these locations. The ideal candidate will have experience operating Class 2, Class 4, and Class 5 vehicles, a strong commitment to safety, and a customer-focused attitude.

Driving Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class 2, Class 4, and Class 5 vehicles to transport various goods across designated routes.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies during all driving activities.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Deliver goods promptly while maintaining accurate delivery records and documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, ensuring client satisfaction at all times.

Cargo Handling and Safety

  • Maneuver vehicles into position for efficient loading and unloading of cargo.
  • Load and unload vehicles using appropriate lifting and tipping devices safely.
  • Observe safety protocols when handling cargo to prevent accidents and damage.
  • Ensure proper weight distribution and compliance with load limitations during transport.
  • Verify loading documents and check the condition of goods before and after delivery.

Vehicle Maintenance

  • Perform regular quality checks on vehicles to guarantee they are roadworthy and safe.
  • Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to management promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle to uphold company standards.
  • Assist in scheduling regular maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Keep accurate records of vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

Compensation

This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $30 to $37, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
