Excellent opportunity to join a successful and well-established Auckland based company and become a part of a great team. To enhance our team, we are now looking for a Bookkeeper to join us.

The ideal candidates should have at least 2 years’ relevant work experience in the same field or industry;

or have a relevant NZ level 4 qualification or equivalent qualifications/ certificates; or have a bachelor level degree or higher. 

We offer a competitive hourly pay rate between $35.00 - $38.00 for this role depending on your skills.

Vacancy details:

-       Working hours and days: 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

-       Type of employment: Permanent

-       Place of Work: Auckland

The duties for this role are:

• ·       Record financial transactions into accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• ·       Monitor cash flow and lines of credit to track financial resources effectively.
• ·       Assist external accountant in preparing financial statements
• ·       Use Excel spreadsheets to perform other accounting analytical reporting such as cash flow, budgets, and expenditure reporting.
• ·       Create and process invoices, purchase orders, and bank deposits to accurately reflect transactions.
• ·       Reconcile accounts to assert the accuracy of transactions.

• ·       Verify transactions and report any discrepancies for further management investigation.
• ·       Prepare and submit forms related to business tax entitlements and obligations, such as goods and services tax reporting.
• ·       Prepare PAYE and assist in GST return filing.
• ·       Keep up to date with accounting standards, taxation changes, reporting requirements, by continuing professional education seminars and research.
• ·       Any other duties the employer may reasonably require the employee to perform
