We are looking for an energetic Store Manager, someone who is motived and
committed to assist with our new business here in Wellington, New Zealand. We
guarantee minimum of 30 hours per week with the pay rate between $27 - $35p/h, it is a
permanent role. You will be working as per roster hence flexibility is important in this
role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the smooth running of the store
• Set product pricing based on purchasing costs while maintaining target gross margins
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure stock levels are adequately maintained, avoiding
shortages or overstocking
• Prepare, manage, and monitor store budgets, ensuring financial targets are met

• Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and prepare financial reports
• Control expenses and implement cost-saving measures to maximise profitability
• Monitor inventory costs, wastage, and shrinkage, and take corrective actions where
required
• Reconcile cash registers, manage banking, and ensure accurate financial
recordkeeping
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and reporting requirements
• Material handling and ensuring safe storage of goods
• Manage cash register and maintain accuracy in cash handling
• Ensure that the premises are always kept neat and presentable
• Manage shop staff on shift
• Attend phone calls and resolve customer queries
• Maximise sales by advising customers of ongoing promotions and deals
• Ensure that all work complies with health and safety policies
• Hire and train staff, prepare rosters, and manage staff performance

Must be able to do a pre-employment drug test and also ministry of justice check 


To be successful, you will need to:
• Have at least two of relevant experience, or a relevant Diploma or higher
qualification in Business, Commerce, Management, or a related field
• Be a great team player and able to follow instructions
• Be physically fit able to lift heavy boxes and willing to work hard
• Have a good eye for detail and the ability to solve problems practically and effectively
• Have a “can-do” attitude
