The growing business needs to take on new talents at the graduate level, who have a good amount of relevant qualification and practical experience.
The role is full time based on 40 hours of week from Monday to Friday, with competitive salary of $75,000 a year. It is based in Auckland, but with requirement to travel across New Zealand, particularly in Bay of Plenty and Otago regions, as well as international travel like Australia if required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organising and/or undertaking ground investigations that may incorporate hand augers, test pits, machine drillholes, Cone Penetrometer Tests, Scala penetrometer tests and/or some other specialist investigation methods.
- Logging of samples or core recovered from the above investigations.
- Piezometer installation and monitoring.
- Field mapping.
- Development of geological and geotechnical sections.
- Undertaking slope stability assessments.
- Undertaking civil and geotechnical engineering assessments and design calculations.
- Construction monitoring inspections.
- Collation, analysis and plotting of engineering data.
- Preparation of letters, reports and/or drawings summarising the results of the above work.
The suitable candidates need to:
- hold a degree in Civil Engineering (bachelor or master)
- with a clean NZ Driver's licence or ability to travel to site
- with one year internship in the relevant filed
All candidates must have work right in New Zealand.
