Waikato & Bay of Plenty Territory | Existing Customers + New Business

Take ownership of your territory. Build trusted partnerships. Sell technical solutions that make a measurable difference.

This is an opportunity for an experienced technical sales professional to take ownership of an established Waikato and Bay of Plenty territory, representing a premium range of industrial equipment and solutions.

Working with leading manufacturers across the food, beverage, packaging and production sectors, you’ll combine account management, consultative selling and new business development — helping customers improve productivity, efficiency and operational performance through the right solutions.

You’ll inherit strong customer relationships while also identifying new opportunities and growing the territory through value-based selling.

This is a Waikato-based territory role, giving you the autonomy to manage your customer base, plan your sales activity and spend your time where it matters most — with customers. You’ll be supported by an experienced technical team, with regular connection to the wider business.

What’s On Offer

  • Join a successful global business with the support and collaboration of a close-knit NZ team.

  • Established customer portfolio with strong relationships already in place.

  • Ownership of a valuable Waikato and Bay of Plenty territory.

  • Autonomy to manage your customer relationships, sales pipeline and territory strategy.

  • Competitive base salary, full-use company vehicle, tools of trade and uncapped commission structure.

  • Represent high-quality industrial equipment and solutions that deliver real customer value.

  • Ongoing technical support, training and product knowledge from experienced specialists.

  • Regular connection with the wider team through Auckland office visits.

About the Role

This is a customer-facing technical sales role, combining approximately 50% account management and 50% business development.

You’ll work with production managers, engineers, maintenance teams and business owners to understand operational challenges and recommend solutions that improve their processes and performance.

Your focus will include:

  • Managing and growing existing customer relationships.

  • Developing new business opportunities within manufacturing and industrial sectors.

  • Visiting customer sites to understand requirements and identify opportunities.

  • Providing technical solutions tailored to customer applications.

  • Managing the full sales process from opportunity through to completion.

  • Working closely with internal technical and service teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.

About You

You’re an experienced B2B salesperson who enjoys technical selling, building long-term relationships and becoming a trusted adviser to your customers.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Proven success in technical, industrial or manufacturing sales.

  • Experience selling capital equipment, automation solutions, packaging or packaging machinery, labelling solutions, manufacturing equipment or similar technical products (essential).

  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with confidence engaging customers, engineers, production teams and senior decision-makers.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage technical information accurately.

  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn technical products.

  • A mature, self-motivated approach with the ability to manage a territory, build relationships and grow sales.

This role will suit someone who enjoys being customer-facing, solving problems and having genuine ownership of their results.
