GJ Kitchens specialises in kitchen design and manufacturers of highend designer kitchens, storage and cabinetry. Our company has the latest facilities and model edge bander. Whether it’s a new build or renovation of an existing kitchen, with every project, our focus is on quality design, precision manufacture and careful installation. We are now seeking for several Cabinet Makers to join our team. You will be paid an hourly rate of $30.00-$40.00 depending on your experience and skill level. You will be working in Auckland. This role will be a permanent full-time position and will be guaranteed 40 hours of work per week, and can be up to 50 hours weekly.
Paid weekly, 4 weeks annual leave, Statutory holidays, Sick and bereavement leave. Opportunities to upskill.
Candidates need to be able to start immediately and work lawfully in New Zealand.
Responsibilities:
•Making cabinets according to drawings and specifications
• Correcting demonstration of the operation of machines and tools
• Understanding building plans and drawings to determine materials, dimensions and installation procedures
• Planning the ordering and selecting timbers and materials, and preparing layouts
• Measuring and cutting materials to the right size and shape
• Assembling and nail the prepared wood parts to form structures and fittings
• Making fittings for the cabinets where fine detail is required
• Assembling components to form sections and complete items for cabinets
• Fitting hinges, locks, catches, drawers and shelves
• Finishing, sanding and polishing cabinets
• Repairing or replacing damaged cabinet components
• Ensuring that the company's health and safety procedures are followed at all time
The successful candidate must have:
• Minimum 2 years work experience in related field or Qualification level 4 certificate in related field
• Motivated, good work attitude and good communication skills
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Physically fit and able to handle the heavy workload
• Quality workmanship and eye for detail
• Commitment to health and workplace safety
• Strong ability to work independently
• Able to pass health, drug and criminal checks if required
