We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team and manage construction projects based on the West Coast, New Zealand.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and manage construction projects from commencement through to completion
  • Develop and monitor project programmes, budgets and timelines
  • Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers
  • Monitor project costs, variations and resource requirements
  • Ensure construction works meet plans, specifications, quality standards and contractual requirements
  • Oversee project health and safety requirements
  • Identify project risks and implement appropriate solutions
  • Manage project documentation, reports, schedules and records
  • Attend project and client meetings and provide progress updates
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities and other stakeholders
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related field, and/or relevant industry experience
  • Previous experience in a Construction Project Manager, Project Manager or similar role
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and project delivery
  • Experience managing budgets, programmes, contractors and subcontractors
  • Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Good knowledge of New Zealand construction and health and safety requirements preferred
  • Full New Zealand driver licence preferred
