Are you ready to get hands-on in a dynamic construction environment? We are looking for hardworking Labourers who can assist with plasterboard installation and finishing on residential and commercial sites. This is a full-time, permanent role with a minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Install plasterboard (GIB) on walls and ceilings with precision, including cutting, measuring, and fixing sheets securely.
- Load, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and equipment safely across the site.
- Tape, fill, and sand joints to create smooth, ready-to-paint surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes.
- Assist with fitting cornices, architraves, and other decorative or functional wall/ceiling linings.
- Erect and dismantle temporary structures, including scaffolding and barricades, to provide safe access for finishing work.
- Mix and apply plaster or joint compounds correctly to achieve consistent and professional results.
- Support the installation of fixtures (toilets, wash basins, sprinkler systems) in coordination with wall finishes.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete, mortar, and other materials as required.
- Use ladders, scaffolds, and other access equipment safely and efficiently.
- Dig, shovel, and transfer materials using wheelbarrows, conveyors, and trucks.
· Support general labouring tasks related to construction and interior finishing, including minor fixture installation.
