NZ 07 Horticulture Limited provides horticultural services across orchard sites in the Bay of Plenty region. Due to ongoing operational requirements and the need to coordinate multiple orchard activities, the company requires a Site Manager to oversee daily site operations, manage labour resources, maintain productivity standards, and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements. This role is essential for ensuring orchard programmes are delivered efficiently and site operations run smoothly.

Position Title: Site Manager
Number of Positions: 1
Location: Bay of Plenty, New Zealand
Pay Rate: $30 - $38 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 - 50 hours per week

Key Requirements

Minimum 2 years' experience OR Level 4 Qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across assigned orchard sites.
  • Coordinate orchard staff, labour teams, and daily work schedules.
  • Monitor productivity, work quality, and overall site performance.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health & safety requirements and company procedures.
  • Conduct site inspections and address operational issues promptly.
  • Maintain site records, activity logs, and performance reports.
  • Support planning and delivery of seasonal orchard programmes.
  • Oversee the safe use and maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment.
  • Liaise with management regarding site progress, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor completion of orchard activities including pruning, thinning, training, harvesting, and general maintenance.
  • Coordinate workforce supervision, training, and performance monitoring.
  • Report operational matters and site performance to senior management.

  • Monitor staff compliance with safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Coordinate incident reporting, recording, and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain safety registers, training records, and compliance documentation.
  • Deliver safety inductions and toolbox talks.
  • Ensure safe handling of orchard tools, machinery, and agrichemicals.
  • Implement safety improvements and corrective actions.
  • Monitor contractor and visitor safety compliance processes.
  • Liaise with supervisors and management on safety matters and reporting.
