Sustain Energy Solutions Ltd is a leading provider of energy efficiency solutions, specialising in the installation of insulation for residential, rental, and commercial properties across the market.

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Building Insulation Installer to join our team in a permanent, full-time position. The successful applicant will be responsible for installing insulation safely and efficiently in accordance with customer requirements, applicable guidelines, and workplace health and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Installing insulation in residential, rental, and commercial properties in accordance with customer requirements and relevant EECA guidelines.
  • Reviewing work plans, specifications, customer requirements, and job sites to determine the appropriate type and method of insulation installation.
  • Inspecting work areas and identifying any issues that may affect the installation process.
  • Preparing work sites for insulation installation, including preparing surfaces and installing necessary fittings and materials.
  • Installing insulation in ceiling, underfloor, wall, and other designated areas as required.
  • Measuring and cutting insulation materials accurately to ensure appropriate coverage and effective installation.
  • Handling insulation materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Working safely in confined and restricted spaces, including underfloor and ceiling areas.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy work area before, during, and after installation.
  • Following workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and instructions at all times.

Skills and Experience

  • The ability to work safely and comfortably in confined spaces, including ceilings and underfloor areas.
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual work, including lifting and handling materials.
  • A valid and clean full New Zealand driver's licence.
  • A strong work ethic and reliable approach to work.
  • A positive, can-do attitude.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Willingness to work in different residential and commercial environments.
  • A willingness to work outdoors and in physically demanding conditions where required.
  • A satisfactory Ministry of Justice background check.
