Tractor Operator

P & P Horticulture Limited is seeking a reliable and motivated Tractor Operator to join our team in the Bay of Plenty. This is a full-time opportunity for an individual with relevant experience or qualifications who can safely and efficiently operate a Tractor and contribute to our day-to-day operations.

Location: Bay of Plenty
Pay Rate: $30–$35 per hour
Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate tractors and other agricultural machinery safely and efficiently.
• Perform tractor-based land preparation and maintenance activities.
• Attach, operate and adjust implements and equipment used with tractors.
• Carry out routine inspections and basic maintenance of tractors and machinery.
• Identify and report mechanical issues or equipment faults.
• Safely manoeuvre tractors and machinery across work areas 
• Follow operating procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Maintain machinery and equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.
• Assist with tractor-related agricultural operations as directed by the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate records of machinery use, maintenance and operational activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant tractor operating experience, OR 
• A Level 4 or higher qualification relevant to the role. A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline will also be accepted.
• Ability to safely operate tractors and associated agricultural machinery.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work weekends and additional hours when required.
• An appreciation for outdoor physical work. 
• Physically fit and able to perform the duties required of the role.
• A valid driver’s license (W endorsement or relevant machinery licenses preferred).
