APS is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics in the Hawkes Bay with at least five years’ relevant experience and a recognised trade qualification. The role involves servicing, diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicles, plant and machinery, including diesel engines, transmissions, braking and hydraulic systems.

Successful candidates will have strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, a commitment to health and safety, the ability to work independently and within a team, and a valid New Zealand Driver Licence.

Advanced Personnel  is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics for opportunities in the Hawkes Bay.

Our client is looking for skilled tradespeople with proven experience servicing, diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicles, plant and/or machinery.

The role

Your duties may include:

  • Servicing and preventative maintenance

  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults

  • Repairing diesel engines, transmissions, braking and hydraulic systems

  • Working on heavy vehicles, plant and/or machinery

  • Completing inspections and maintenance records

  • Maintaining high health and safety standards

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years' relevant diesel mechanical experience

  • Relevant trade qualification 

  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong commitment to health and safety

  • NZ DRIVER LICENCE
