LNZ International Travel Service Limited is a New Zealand ADS-licensed inbound travel and tourism company, specialising in serving both domestic travellers and international tour groups. Our clients come predominantly from China and other Asian countries, along with a smaller number of groups from Europe and North America. We also operate a fleet of tourism vehicles and provide comprehensive ground-handling services across New Zealand. As an active industry participant, our team also attends trade shows, business meetings and major industry events organised by Tourism New Zealand each year.
About the position
In line with our growing Chinese market presence and increasing demand for targeted offline marketing, we are seeking a Product & Brand Manager - Chinese Market to take responsibility for the positioning, development, and promotion of our products and brand across Chinese consumers and business partners.
Summary of key information
- Nature of employment: Permanent full-time
- Remuneration: $37.35 to $38.35 per hour
- Overtime rate: at the rate of normal salary for any time worked in addition to an ordinary work week.
- Minimum guaranteed hours of work: 30 hours per week
- Maximum hours of work: 40 hours per week
- Location of work: Auckland
Summary of key responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Manage and strengthen the company’s brand positioning and brand presence in the Chinese market, ensuring consistency across marketing campaigns, promotional activities and communication materials.
- Plan, organise and coordinate marketing events and promotional activities, including travel exhibitions, trade shows, industry events, business networking events, promotional functions, product launch events, and other offline marketing activities.
- Develop event concepts and marketing briefs, and coordinate the planning and delivery of marketing projects to support product and brand objectives, working closely with internal teams and industry partners.
- Manage marketing projects from planning through implementation and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns, events and promotional activities, providing recommendations for future marketing and brand development.
- Coordinate the company’s participation in domestic and overseas trade shows and industry events, including product presentations, promotional materials and on-site brand and marketing activities.
- Develop, coordinate and review Chinese-language marketing materials, including promotional copy, brochures, product and brand descriptions, campaign materials and business communication documents, ensuring cultural relevance and consistency with brand positioning.
- Conduct market research and analyse Chinese consumer behaviour, travel preferences, market trends and competitor activities to identify market and product opportunities.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies and promotional plans for LNZ’s products, services and brand, based on market research, consumer insights and business objectives, with a particular focus on the Chinese market.
- Provide recommendations to management on Chinese market opportunities, tourism product and brand development, pricing,promotion activities and future marketing initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 5 years of experience in marketing-related brand, product, or project management.
- Experience planning and coordinating large-scale offline events.
- Familiarity with the Chinese consumer market, with in-depth understanding of Chinese consumer behaviour, preferences, and cultural expectations.
- Ability to develop, coordinate, and review Chinese-language marketing materials, including promotional copy, product and brand introductions, campaign briefs, and industry/business communications, ensuring content is culturally appropriate for the Chinese market and aligned with brand positioning.
