Rainbow Paint is a growing Auckland-based painting company specialising in high-quality interior and exterior property painting. Due to increasing demand for our services, we are seeking three painters to join our team.

  • Location: Auckland Region
  • Type: Full time permanent position
  • Vacancies: 3
  • Pay: $30-$35/hour
  • Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week and maximum 40 hours per week

Main Duties:

- Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, washing walls etc

- Prepare the surrounding area for painting such by covering with cloth or plastic

- Tape off areas and remove fixtures such as doorknobs and lamps

-Chooses and mixes paints, stains and other coatings to achieve the required colours, finishes and textures.

- Mixing or applying solvents, pastes or sealants

- Apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, or other finishes to different structures, using brushes, spray guns, or rollers

-Consults with clients regarding colour choices and finishes, and provides estimates for the materials, labour and overall costs required for painting projects.

-Checks completed work for quality, and ensures the finished result meets client requirements and specifications.

- Clean up supplies and replace fixtures when project is complete

 

To be right for this role, you need to meet one of the below:

A qualification at NZQF Level 3 or above

OR

At least 12 months of relevant work experience
