General Manager
Minor Hotels, Queenstown Club Suites is looking for an experienced and driven General Manager to lead the exciting reopening of this iconic property following a significant refurbishment.
This is a rare opportunity for a passionate hospitality leader to shape the next chapter of the hotel's journey. As General Manager, you will oversee the successful relaunch of the property, re-establish its market presence, build a high-performing team culture, and drive exceptional guest experiences from day one.
You will take full accountability for the hotel's operational performance, financial success, team engagement, and long-term growth strategy. This highly visible leadership role requires a hands-on operator who thrives in dynamic environments and is excited by the opportunity to lead a property through a new phase of growth and success.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the successful reopening and ongoing operation of the property, ensuring a seamless guest and team experience.
- Overseeing all daily operations of the property, ensuring high standards of presentation, service, and financial performance
- Developing and implementing strategic revenue plans for the business
- Managing and mentoring department heads including F&B, Housekeeping and Front Office.
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders including Body Corporate, Strata Managers, and local business partners
- Ensuring full compliance with WHS, licensing, and caretaking obligations
- Identifying key areas for improvement across the business and developing strategic procedures for improvement
- Managing, leading, and motivating staff to ensure a high-performing team culture is maintained

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proven experience as a General Manager or senior operational leader within a hotel, resort, or serviced apartment environment.
- Demonstrated success leading hotel openings, reopenings, refurbishments, or significant business transformation projects will be highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of Body Corporate and strata management obligations and stakeholder relationships (highly desirable)
- Tertiary qualifications in Hospitality or Business Management
- Knowledge of the hospitality market is highly desirable.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, with a successful track record in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue optimisation
- A passion for people leadership, team development, and operational success
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A guest-first mindset with the energy, professionalism, and drive to lead a flagship regional hotel
