Coordinate onshore finance operations for PwC NZ to ensure timely, accurate processing

Senior Associate

At PwC, our purpose is clear: to build trust in society and solve important problems.

This is a place to keep growing. You'll learn from the best, take on meaningful challenges, and make a lasting impact for our clients, our communities, and Aotearoa.

About the role

We're looking for a Finance Operations Advisor to join our Auckland-based Finance Operations team on a 10-month fixed-term basis. In this role, you'll provide critical onshore support to partners and staff, helping ensure key FinOps activities run smoothly.

You'll be part of a small, high-performing team working closely with offshore teams and internal stakeholders across the business. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong finance administration experience who enjoys problem-solving, working with detail and delivering quality service in a fast-paced environment.

At PwC, you'll be supported by a flexible working culture, a focus on learning and development, and a collaborative environment where your contribution is valued.

Your day to day will include:

  • Providing prompt, high-quality financial operations support to partners and staff across PwC New Zealand, ensuring queries are handled professionally and efficiently.
  • Managing day-to-day finance administration and transactional activities retained onshore, including more complex tasks that require strong attention to detail, accuracy, judgement, and follow-through.
  • Working closely with offshore teams to monitor workload, review output, resolve queries and keep processes moving, while acting as an escalation point for issues that require onshore support.
  • Providing clear, helpful advice and customer-focused support to internal teams, helping them navigate finance processes and resolve operational matters in a timely way.
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and contributing to a collaborative, service-focused team environment where accuracy, responsiveness and continuous improvement are valued.

Skills you will bring or develop in this role

  • Strong administration experience, ideally within finance operations, accounts payable, accounts receivable or a similar operational finance environment preferably from within a professional services or corporate environment.
  • A customer-focused approach, with strong communication skills and the ability to support a wide range of internal stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office suite and AI tools to work efficiently, streamline tasks and support high-quality outcomes.
  • A proactive, patient and solutions-focused working style.
