We're looking for a National Environmental Solutions Manager to lead and grow our environmental solutions offering across Aotearoa. This is a national leadership role with real scope, covering contaminated land, site investigation, remediation, environmental due diligence, and related advisory services.

You'll set the direction for the business, build capability across our regions, and help us grow in the right markets with the right clients. It's a role for someone who is commercially sharp, technically credible, and confident leading through others. You won't just keep things moving, you'll help shape what's next.

This role can be based anywhere in New Zealand and offers the chance to make a national impact while doing Good Work that is practical, high standard, and forward moving.

Key role responsibilities include:

  • Setting the national direction for our environmental solutions business, including strategy, service line focus, and growth opportunities across contaminated land, remediation, advisory, infrastructure, and development.
  • Leading and growing capability across regional teams, supporting senior environmental professionals to deliver quality work safely, consistently, and to a high standard.
  • Driving commercial performance through market development, key client relationships, bids, pricing, and profitable, sustainable project delivery.
  • Providing technical leadership on complex or high-risk work, with strong oversight across contaminated land, investigation methods, remediation approaches, risk, and reporting standards.
  • Building trusted relationships with clients, councils, regulators, contractors, developers, industry partners, iwi, and internal leaders across the business.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Significant leadership experience in environmental consulting, advisory, or a related sector, with strong business and people leadership capability.
  • Deep expertise in contaminated land and environmental services, with credibility across site investigation, remediation, due diligence, risk assessment, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong commercial judgement, including experience with business development, pricing, margin management, contract risk, and identifying strategic opportunities.
  • The ability to lead senior professionals across multiple locations, build alignment nationally, and coach teams to perform and grow.
  • Strong knowledge of the New Zealand environmental and regulatory context, with the ability to build trusted relationships and deliver practical outcomes for clients and communities.
  • Experience in project management would be useful, and likewise experience working with FH (or similar businesses) could be advantageous.

Good work, good benefits:

  • Medical insurance and Life insurance after the eligibility period.
  • KiwiSaver employer contributions after service milestones, up to 7%.
  • Parental leave top up payment with additional return to work support.
  • Ongoing training and development, with clear career growth and progression opportunities.
  • Great discounts at a wide range of retailers.

About us:

At Fulton Hogan, Good Work is more than what we deliver, it's how we show up, how we treat each other, and how we keep moving forward. Titles matter less than ideas, and we back people to lead, grow, and make an impact.

If you want to help build something nationally, lead good people, and shape a service line with real momentum, this could be your next move.
