Radiology Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Radiology Manager to lead our Radiology Service at Gisborne Hospital. You will provide operational and professional leadership to the Radiology team, ensuring the delivery of safe, equitable, efficient and high-quality diagnostic imaging services.

This role is responsible for managing service delivery, workforce planning, budget performance, quality improvement initiatives, contracted services, and strategic development. You will work collaboratively with clinicians, multidisciplinary teams, primary care providers and key stakeholders. You will also work alongside other Radiology Managers across the Te Manawa Taki region to strengthen and improve regional radiology services, support consistent approaches to service delivery, and ensure patients receive imaging within the timeframes set by the Ministry of Health.

About you: You will be an experienced healthcare leader with strong operational, financial and people management skills. You will have a collaborative leadership style and a passion for delivering high-quality patient-centered services.

Essential requirements: Proven experience leading and managing teams. Demonstrated planning, business development and budget management experience. Experience leading service improvements and organizational change. Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Proven ability to lead quality improvement initiatives and achieve service outcomes. Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to develop, coach and support high-performing teams.

Desirable: New Zealand registered Medical Radiation Technologist or similar clinical qualification. Health sector management qualification. Previous radiology leadership or management experience. Proven experience successfully leading diverse teams through change and achieving improved results. Experience in a mental health and addiction setting is desirable.
