Logistics & Operations Specialist

Join Miele New Zealand and play a pivotal role in ensuring our premium appliances are available when and where our customers need them. As the Logistics & Operations Specialist, you'll be responsible for optimizing inventory, supporting the Sales team and driving operational excellence across our supply chain.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and third-party logistics providers, you'll combine analytical thinking with relationship management to improve inventory performance, enhance operational efficiency and deliver exceptional customer outcomes. Your Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory across multiple stock categories, ensuring optimal stock availability, integrity and efficient product lifecycle management
  • Coordinate sales support activities including order processing, display stock management, point-of-sale distribution and customer enquiries
  • Build strong relationships with Sales teams, third-party logistics providers and business partners to ensure seamless operations
  • Monitor inventory performance through stocktakes, cycle counts, reconciliations and proactive inventory planning
  • Manage the returns process, including approvals, reconciliations and root cause analysis to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Develop KPI reporting and operational insights to support business decisions and improve supply chain performance
  • Collaborate with Australian planning teams and New Zealand stakeholders to drive efficiency, reduce waste and optimise inventory investment

What We Are Looking For

Must-have

  • Experience in inventory management, supply chain, logistics or operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

Nice-to-have

  • Experience managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers
  • Experience in sales operations or commercial support
  • Exposure to inventory reporting, KPI analysis and root cause analysis
  • Experience with ERP systems such as ASW, Cognos or similar business systems
