Meat Processing Team Member

Service Foods Christchurch Butchery Team is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Meat Processing team member to join their afternoon shift.

As a Meat Processor, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations. You will work closely with our skilled butchers and support our commitment to providing the finest meat products to our customers.

The job:

  • Packing and labelling meat products with precision and care.
  • Ensuring that all products are packaged according to quality and safety standards.
  • Operating the vac pack, other equipment and machinery to wrap meat
  • Organising and preparing orders for timely delivery to customers.
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment.
  • Preparation of meat products as and when required (full training provided)
  • Following all Food Safety and Health and Safety processes to a high standard
  • Assist with general butchery and other operational duties

The person:

  • Previous experience working in a pick packing/ process environment
  • An ability to follow instructions and to work under pressure
  • Good level of physical fitness and be able to lift up to 20 kgs.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining product quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong work ethic and a focus on safety and cleanliness.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be comfortable to work in a cold environment
  • Reliable transport to work and willingness to learn
  • Be flexible in the role and take on additional tasks as required
