About Whāraurau | Mō mātou
Whāraurau is a national, government funded workforce development centre for those working in infant, child and youth mental health and addiction services across the spectrum of care (primary, NGO, Kaupapa Māori and Te Whatu Ora services).
Whāraurau is part of the Wise Charitable Trust which, together with its charitable subsidiary companies, is known as the Wise Group. Whāraurau focuses on workforce development for the mental health and wellbeing of infants, children and youth and those who care for them. The service provides national, regional and local training, across sector leadership, and trauma informed approaches. There are many integrated workforce activities and Whāraurau works alongside three other Te Whatu Ora funded mental health and addiction workforce development centres.
Whāraurau works across the spectrum of mental health care (primary, NGO, kaupapa Māori and Te Whatu Ora services) and across child service sectors (i.e., Education, Oranga Tamariki, etc.), and the highly skilled staff are multidisciplinary and multicultural.

About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
As a Project Support Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of our mahi. You'll provide event coordination for online and in-person events, working closely with the delivery team to ensure seamless planning, organisation, and execution. You'll also support the Wise Group finance processes associated with event delivery and provide operational administration as delegated by the Office Manager.
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining exposure to projects of national significance that create real change.
This is a permanent, full-time role working Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm.
Skills & Experience | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako
Our preferred candidates will have:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (preferred).
- Experience in planning and coordinating events.
- Experience using CRM and accounting platforms.
- Tech savviness, with confidence using technology and new systems.
- A mature, organised, and calm approach, with excellent attention to detail.
- A culturally sensitive and inclusive approach.
