About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and dynamic Clinical Psychologist who will work with a child development focus as part of the Starship Community team, with the benefit of being professionally linked to the Starship Consult Liaison and Paediatrician teams. This dynamic position provides high quality clinical psychology assessment and intervention to children and young people with developmental and disability needs and their family/whānau.

About the Team/Service/Location

Based at Greenlane Clinical Centre, Starship Community Service provides interdisciplinary care and cultural support to children, young people and their whānau living within the Te Toka Tumai Auckland district. Children and their caregivers are seen in their homes, school, clinic and other community settings.

The role works alongside experienced psychology colleagues and has connections with the MDT. The teams are friendly, hard-working and motivated to provide high quality assessments and interventions for children; young people and their whānau attending Starship Child Health.

About You

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be a New Zealand Registered Clinical Psychologist with a current Annual Practising Certificate
  • Have a clean full drivers licence.
  • Have the ability to work autonomously in a multi-cultural environment (essential)
  • Have experience working with children with disabilities (desired)
