Oversee daily cyclic road maintenance operations to keep Waihou roads safe and passable.

Job Opportunity

As a Cyclic Operator for one of the largest infrastructure businesses in New Zealand, you will be responsible for road patrols, maintenance activities and supporting other operations to help deliver a high-quality roading network. You will:

  • Identify and repair faults, such as potholes, edge marker post replacement and blocked drainage structures
  • Help risk assess and setup safe sites for your crew and the general public
  • Patrol designated roads on a regular basis
  • Ensure efficient use of materials, supplies and equipment
  • Work as part of a cohesive team to deliver road maintenance activities

If you are physically fit and enjoy spending your days outdoors and, on your feet, this could be the position for you. Important Skills Along with a positive attitude and a commitment to safe workplace practices, we are looking for you to have:

  • Full New Zealand Drivers Licence required, Class 2 preferred but can work towards this
  • A can-do attitude with a good work ethic
  • Demonstrated that you are reliable and dependable
  • Show good initiative and be confident in decision-making and problem-solving
  • Ability to perform on-call duties as part of our emergency response requirements
  • Willingness to learn how to record completed activities on an electronic device (RAMM / AWM)
