Are you an experienced ecology professional looking to move to the next level? WSP is seeking a Senior or Principal Ecologist to join our Christchurch team. About the Role:

  • Lead and manage ecological projects, from field surveys to data analysis and reporting
  • Provide expert advice on environmental and ecological matters
  • Mentor and support junior team members
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and WSP's high standards
  • Drive business development and contribute to the growth of our ecology services

About You:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and ideally 9+ years' professional experience
  • Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) – Ecology Specialist, or working towards it
  • Strong technical, analytical, and project management skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and build relationships at all levels
  • Passion for delivering pragmatic, client-centric solutions
