Civil Drainlayer - New Plymouth

With continued growth across the region, we're looking for an experienced Civil Drainlayer to join our work whānau in New Plymouth. This is a hands-on role where you'll be out in the trench, delivering essential infrastructure that keeps communities running and helping shape the future of the Taranaki region.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Construction of wastewater, stormwater and drainage assets
• Installation of PVC, PE and concrete pipes, manholes, catchpits and chambers
• Working across wastewater and stormwater projects
• Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and specifications
• Confined space work and live network tie-ins

• Holds a recognised drainlaying qualification
• Has proven experience in stormwater and wastewater infrastructure
• Has knowledge of 3 Waters (potable water experience is a bonus)
• Is confident working hands-on - not just supervising
• Communicates well and works effectively within a team
• Has a strong safety and quality focus
• Holds a Full Class 1 or 2 driver's licence
• Can plan ahead, think on their feet and respond to unexpected challenges
