Lead FM Technicians & manage maintenance contracts across Christchurch sites in this hands-on, permanent supervisor role.
Facilities Contract Supervisor
Location: Christchurch | Type: Permanent, Full-Time | Pay: $35–$38/hr

About the Role
We're recruiting for an experienced Facilities Contract Supervisor to join a well-established facilities provider in Christchurch. This is a genuinely varied, hands-on role — one day you might be walking a client site sorting priorities with your team, the next you're training a new technician or working through job data to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

You'll lead a team of FM Technicians, act as the trusted face of the business for client sites, and bring your trade background to the table when it counts. It's a role suited to someone who takes pride in getting the details right, enjoys mentoring others, and wants genuine ownership over how their contracts and team perform

Key Duties
  • Ensure maintenance/repair jobs are completed on time and to client standard
  • Supervise, train and report on FM Technicians' performance and conduct
  • Maintain SOPs, training records and client specifications
  • Conduct site inductions (PPE, H&S) for new staff and contractors
  • Manage contractor lists, sites, rates and job data in CE/simPro
  • Liaise with clients, the Helpdesk and National Facilities Manager to ensure jobs are actioned and invoiced accurately
What You'll Need
  • Carpentry/joinery trade qualification with hands-on experience
  • Proven experience supervising trades or technician teams
  • Ability to read technical drawings/specs and understand the building code
  • Knowledge of PPE, safe equipment operation, permits/council liaison and evacuation procedures
  • Strong time management, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Physical fitness for lifting/moving equipment
  • Full, valid NZ driver's licence
This is a great opportunity to step into a hands-on leadership role with a well-established facilities provider.
