We are seeking experienced Fish Filleters / Knifehands for seafood processing opportunities across Invercargill and the Southland Region.

We’re looking for skilled workers with proven commercial knife experience in filleting, gutting, trimming, boning and portioning fish.

You’ll work accurately and efficiently while maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and quality standards. You must be comfortable working in chilled, wet and fast-paced production environments.

Advanced Personnel is seeking experienced Fish Filleters / Knifehands for seafood processing opportunities in Invercargill and the greater Southland Region.

We are looking for skilled seafood workers with strong commercial knife skills who can work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced processing environment.

 

The role

  • Filleting and boning fish

  • Gutting, trimming and portioning seafood

  • Skinning, cleaning and preparing fish for processing

  • Removing bones and unwanted material with precision

  • Inspecting and grading seafood for size and quality

  • Preparing and packing finished seafood products

  • Working efficiently to production and quality targets

  • Cleaning and sanitising knives, equipment and work areas

  • Following food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures

 

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' commercial fish filleting or seafood processing experience

  • Proven fine knife skills

  • Experience filleting, gutting, trimming and portioning fish

  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently at production pace

  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene

  • Physically fit and comfortable working in chilled and wet environments

  • Ability to maintain quality while working to production targets

  • Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team
