We are looking for a truck driver (class 5) in a full time role based in Wellington. The role is for a minimum of 30 hours per week to max 40 hours per week for 5 days per week and occassionally over the weekends. The work may include driving at night within Wellington/Wairarappa region.

The job responsibilities are as below.
Positioning vehicles for loading and unloading;
Comfortable using lifting and tipping devices for loading and unloading;
Ensure safety requirements are met while loading and unloading vehicles;
Making regular quality checks of the truck to ensure they are safe to drive;
Estimating weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight; Ensuring goods are stowed and securely covered to prevent loss and damage;
Verifying loading documents, checking condition of goods and obtaining certification of deliveries.

Skills/Experience/Qualification required
You should have at least one year of relevant driving experience or a Secondary School qualification.
You should also have a NZ full driving license or an overseas drivers license with the ability to gain a NZ full drivers license for the role.
