Position Title: Fruit Production Leading Hand
Number of Positions: 2
Location: ALL, Bay of Plenty
Pay Rate: $28 – $37 per hour
Hours of Work: 30–50 hours per week

Key Requirements:

Minimum Level 4 qualification or 2 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily teams in pruning, thinning, bud rubbing, tipping, tying‑down,
and canopy work.
Collaborate with supervisors with planning and coordinating seasonal orchard activities.
Allocate work tasks and monitor team productivity and quality.
Operate orchard tools and equipment safely (secateurs, loppers, pole saws,ATVs if trained).
Train new staff in correct kiwifruit orchard techniques and safe workpractices.
Support irrigation checks, vine training, and basic orchard maintenance.
Implement orchard hygiene and biosecurity standards.
Keep simple daily work records for team output and attendance.
Report pest/disease issues, vine health changes, and safety concerns.
Ensure careful handling of fruit and canopy to protect crop quality.
