Driving and Delivery Duties

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles, ensuring compliance with traffic regulations.
  • Plan and follow efficient routes to meet delivery schedules.
  • Load and unload packages, verifying contents against delivery documentation.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections for safety and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.

Customer Interaction

  • Provide exceptional customer service during package delivery and pickup.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and issues.
  • Resolve any delivery-related concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Collect payments and signatures as required for delivered goods.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to enhance customer satisfaction.

Logistics and Coordination

  • Coordinate with dispatchers to receive daily delivery assignments.
  • Assist in managing inventory and tracking packages in transit.
  • Report any delays or issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Adapt to changes in delivery schedules or routes as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss performance and improvements.

Safety and Compliance

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety.
  • Stay informed about local traffic laws and regulations.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment as required during deliveries.
  • Report any accidents or incidents involving the delivery vehicle immediately.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and ensure vehicle is kept in good condition.
