About the company:
Master Automotive Repair Limited is now looking for a Operation Manager to join our friendly team. The position oversees staff, workflow, customer service, purchasing, costs, quality, workplace safety and operational performance. This is a permanent full-time role with an immediate start date. You will be paid at reasonable market rate.
To be considered as a member of Master Automotive Repair Limited you will need to demonstrate the following knowledges and skills:
- 1 year or more NZ management work experience
- Diploma above qualification
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Operations Manager – Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the automotive repair and servicing business to ensure efficient workflow and service delivery.
- Manage customer service activities, including bookings, service enquiries, quotations, repair progress updates, complaints and after-sales matters.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, including regular and commercial customers, and identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
- Liaise with parts suppliers and service providers regarding pricing, availability, purchasing, deliveries, returns and other supply arrangements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external business partners, commercial customers and other relevant organisations.
- Coordinate workshop scheduling, staffing, customer requirements and parts availability in consultation with the Director and technicians.
- Supervise and support staff in relation to workflow, customer service, company procedures and day-to-day operational requirements.
- Monitor operational performance, including job volumes, turnaround times, sales, operating costs and service efficiency, and recommend improvements to the Director.
- Oversee operational administration, including customer and job records, quotations, invoices, supplier documentation and other business records.
- Coordinate with administration staff and other external service providers regarding relevant operational and financial matters.
- Assist with workplace health and safety, company procedures and other operational compliance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, customer service, cost control and overall business performance, and report regularly to the Director.
Technical Responsibility
The Operations Manager is responsible for the business, operational and customer service management of the workshop. Technical vehicle diagnosis, complex repair decisions, technical supervision and technical quality control are undertaken by the Director and appropriately qualified automotive technicians.
Working Place, hours, Wages level and other benefit
- Work from our workshop in Onehunga, Auckland
- Standard Hours: 30-45 hours per week
- Remuneration: NZD $33-36 per hour
