Salary band between $76,705- $79,925 per annum

About the Role
The Service Booking Administrator keeps the Radiology Service running smoothly by providing fast, accurate, and flexible booking and administrative support.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining accurate up to date patient records within the Radiology & HNZ Southern patient administration systems
- Working closely with other administrators, nursing and clinical teams to make sure the patient journey through the Radiology Service is as timely, accurate and stress free as possible
- Ensure referrals for the Radiology service are receipted via Southern electronic systems, email, and mail, and processed daily within agreed timeframes
- Booking forms are checked for completeness, and missing information is sourced from Southern electronic systems or clinical staff when necessary
- Patients are loaded to the waitlist in the patient administration system, with procedure, admission, tests and/or treatment dates added if known. All relevant data is added as per departmental guidelines
- Patient information is protected and maintained in compliance with the Health Information Privacy Code under the Privacy Act.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and organized person with a strong ability to prioritize competing demands in an efficient manner.
You will have a friendly and welcoming nature and be comfortable interacting with patients both in person and on the phone. As an experienced administrator you will also be skilled at juggling multiple priorities and able to remain calm under pressure.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a busy administration role
- High degree of knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent word processing and data entry skills, with a strong eye for detail
- Flexible approach with the ability to successfully prioritize your workload
- Respectful nature handling confidential, often sensitive information in a professional manner
