Grow Farm Source sales by building relationships with farmers across Morrinsville and Waikato

Technical Sales Representative - Morrinsville

Imagine tomorrow with us, where your career can grow, and you can create positive change. At Fonterra, we want everyone to feel they can be themselves. Whether you're early in your career or ready for your next step, Fonterra offers a unique opportunity to grow with a global dairy co-operative that values care, collaboration, and contribution. Owned by New Zealand dairy farmers and supported by a dedicated team, we are all working together to create a better future.

We love Kiwi dairy farmers and know they're pretty awesome. For generations, they have relied on hard work, ingenuity, and each other to create the kind of goodness that fuels our families, connects our communities and supports our economy. At Farm Source, the same co-operative spirit that our farmers and their communities share drives our team. We make farming easier so farmers can continue to concentrate on what they do best – producing high-quality New Zealand milk in the most sustainable way. This means growing and supporting the right people – smart people with plenty of 'roll-your-sleeves up' energy to rise to the challenge. Whether you're on the farm getting your gumboots dirty or connecting over a coffee at our local stores, you'll get the mahi done as part of a trusted team – backed by good people, the right products, innovative solutions, and industry-leading expertise. So why not join us? Whether you're on the farm getting your gumboots dirty or connecting over a coffee at our local stores, you'll be getting the mahi done as part of a trusted team.

We have an exciting Technical Sales Representative opportunity within our Farm Source business based in Morrinsville. We're interested in hearing from people with a background in farming, agriculture, or agribusiness who are passionate about supporting New Zealand farmers. However, we also recognise that great relationship builders come from a range of industries, so if you have experience in sales, retail, customer service, account management, trades, or another customer-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you. Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you'll build trusted relationships with farmers across the region, provide practical product advice, and help customers find solutions that drive success on farm. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your sales capability, expand your industry network, and establish yourself as a trusted partner to the farming community. As a trusted advisor and agricultural solutions partner, you'll work closely with our existing customer base while identifying opportunities to strengthen relationships and support more farmers across the region. When you're not out on farm building customer relationships, you'll spend time in our Morrinsville store, collaborating with our knowledgeable and engaged teams to deliver exceptional service and support to the local rural community. This opportunity offers the chance to further develop your technical expertise, strengthen your commercial acumen, and build a rewarding long-term career within Farm Source and the wider Fonterra Co-operative Group.

We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, is naturally curious, and is passionate about delivering great customer outcomes. You may already have agricultural experience and understand the needs of farming businesses, or you may bring transferable skills from another industry and be excited by the opportunity to learn. What matters most is your ability to connect with people, identify opportunities, and build trusted relationships. To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Clean full drivers license
  • A passion for working with people and building strong relationships
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • A willingness to learn and develop your technical product knowledge and commercial capability
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to identify opportunities
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Confidence engaging with a diverse range of customers
  • A genuine interest in supporting New Zealand farmers and rural communities

Experience in agriculture, agribusiness, sales, retail, customer service, account management, or a related field would be advantageous. However, we're equally interested in people who bring the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and the drive to build meaningful customer relationships and make a positive impact in the rural sector

At Fonterra, our values of Good Together, Better Every Day, and Every Drop Counts, are for everyone – no matter your background, identify or experience.
