You will be working across custom fabrication jobs in stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel at a well-established family fabrication workshop in South Windsor, NSW. This is a hands-on, fully trade-level role. You will be expected to read drawings, mark out, fabricate, weld, finish, and inspect your own work without needing someone to walk you through it. The shop is currently running 6:00am to 4:00pm with the early start attracting overtime rates, and Saturdays are also being worked right now, which means the earning potential is strong for someone who wants the hours.

You will be working across custom fabrication jobs in stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel at a well-established family fabrication workshop in South Windsor, NSW. - Reading and interpreting fabrication and engineering drawings independently and accurately
- Marking out, cutting, forming, and assembling components across stainless, aluminium, and mild steel
- TIG and MIG welding to a high standard across all three materials including stainless and aluminium
- Operating press brakes, guillotines, folders, rollers, and general fabrication machinery
- Finishing and inspecting completed work to a commercial standard
- Working autonomously across varied custom fabrication scopes without close supervision
What We Need
- Completed trade qualification in Sheetmetal Work or equivalent 1st Class standard, non-negotiable
- Proven ability to read and interpret fabrication and engineering drawings independently
- Strong TIG and MIG welding ability across stainless steel and aluminium, this is a hard requirement
- Hands-on experience across stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel fabrication
- Competent operation of press brakes, guillotines, folders, rollers, and general fabrication machinery
- White Card and current driver's licence, both required
- Stable employment history, candidates with a pattern of leaving permanent roles for FIFO or mining money will not be the right fit here
- Genuinely committed to relocating to Western Sydney long term, not testing the waters
