​​Job Description

  • Maneuvering forklift controls to position and adjust fork height for loading, unloading, and stacking cargo in warehouses, manufacturing plants, timber yards, and port facilities
  • Driving forklifts equipped with rail systems or electronic guidance technology to navigate and operate safely in narrow aisle environments
  • Moving freight to assigned storage or staging locations across industrial and distribution sites
  • Ensuring inventory is placed in designated storage zones to facilitate efficient retrieval during order fulfillment
  • Observing equipment performance using dashboard gauges, indicators, and computerized fleet management systems
  • Conducting routine inspections and operational checks to detect equipment wear, defects, or mechanical issues
  • Carrying out basic maintenance, servicing, and minor adjustments to keep forklifts in safe working condition
  • Operating specialized narrow-aisle or undercarriage forklifts for handling loads beneath overhead racking structures
  • Undertaking additional duties as reasonably assigned by management

More details about the position

  • Location: Auckland
  • Job type: Full-time Permanent
  • Pay rate: 26.00- 42.00 New Zealand dollars per hour
  • Days required: 6 days per week, roast may apply
  • Hours per week: At least 30

Job Requirement

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or a relevant NZ Level 4 qualification (or equivalent overseas qualification), or a bachelor degree in any discipline is required.
