· Inspect excavators, attachments and equipment to ensure that they are functioning properly and performing as intended, ensuring they are set up and ready for use
· Read and interpret site plans, drawings, specifications and blueprints for our construction and drainage projects
· Operate excavators proficiently and safely to prepare areas for and complete the installation of drainage structures and other drainage and related works
· Utilise excavators and attachments to excavate, drill, break, backfill, level, compact, move, lift, load, and transport materials (such as drainage materials, earth, rubble and rock)
· Monitor equipment operations, adjusting controls as needed for optimal efficiency and ensuring safety
· Operate equipment manually and through electronic or digital interfaces
· Follow verbal and written instructions meticulously to maintain high-quality work standards
· Report any issues or problems related to the equipment
· Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of equipment, conducting minor adjustments and repairs as necessary
· Assist co-workers with drainage and other related tasks to ensure our construction and drainage projects are completed safely and efficiently
· Ensure workmanship and observe health and safety regulations
Pay rate: Minimum $32.00/ hour Maximum $36.00/ hour
Guaranteed hours of work per week: Minimum 30 hours, permanent full-time
Requirements for the job:
· You should have at least 3 years of relevant work experience; Or, if no experience, you should have a relevant qualification at level 4 or above
· Be physically fit and healthy
· Full time availability, may work on the weekends
· No criminal record
· Candidates need to be NZ citizen/resident
