About the Role
We are seeking three experienced Territory Sales Managers to plan, organise, direct, control, and coordinate sales and marketing activities across defined New Zealand territories.
Based at our Auckland head office, you will travel across both the North and South Islands as part of ongoing territory coverage. This is a management-level role with accountability for territory strategy, commercial performance, and cross-functional coordination to deliver revenue and distribution outcomes.
This is a full time role with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the territory sales and marketing plan including channel strategy, customer segmentation, key account priorities, and distribution expansion initiatives
- Set territory targets and KPIs and translate these into monthly and quarterly action plans with clear measures of success
- Direct the territory promotional calendar and trade marketing programmes including planning, coordination of delivery, measurement of outcomes, and optimisation
- Develop structured key account plans for priority customers covering range strategy, distribution targets, promotional priorities, and growth initiatives
- Coordinate cross-functional delivery with internal teams including marketing, procurement, operations, logistics, customer service, and finance to support territory plan execution
- Own territory performance reporting including revenue, margin, distribution, execution KPIs, pipeline health, risks, and corrective actions
- Analyse customer purchasing trends, market movements, and competitor activity and provide territory-level recommendations to senior leadership
- Provide forecasting inputs and demand planning insights to support business planning and service delivery
- Lead territory planning and performance review cadence including monthly reporting to senior leadership
- Influence internal stakeholders to align resources and priorities to territory outcomes
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in business, marketing, sales, commerce, information systems/technology, or a related discipline.
- Clean Nz Drivers Licence or overseas equivilent
Experience Requirements
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing sales and marketing plans including territory strategy, customer segmentation, forecasting, promotional planning, and performance reporting
- Experience providing structured commercial reporting to senior leadership including KPI reporting, pipeline governance, competitor and market insights, and corrective action planning
- Strong commercial acumen including ability to interpret sales data, understand margin drivers, and evaluate promotional effectiveness
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional delivery and lead through influence
- Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
