About the Role

Bring your mental health expertise into a newly established Clinical Lead role where you will have the opportunity to shape how the position develops. Combining clinical practice with day-to-day leadership, you will coordinate referrals and team operations, support clinical decision making, and strengthen practice across NASC. The role also offers scope to influence service improvement and build effective pathways across mental health, community, housing, and wider support services.

About the Team/Service/Location

The NASC team works alongside people living with serious mental health and addiction challenges to identify and coordinate community support that promotes independence, recovery, and social inclusion. Based in Tauranga and working across the Bay of Plenty district, this small and dedicated team has strong connections across specialist services and the community sector and contributes to initiatives including the My Plan Shared Care pathway, Community Support Continuum, Housing & Recovery redesign, and the Kainga Tupu Homelessness provider network.

About You

You are an experienced mental health professional ready to grow your leadership influence while remaining connected to clinical practice. Collaborative and confident, you enjoy coaching others, bringing people together, and working alongside service users, whānau, clinical teams, and community partners to find practical pathways forward.

What you will bring:

• Current registration and Annual Practicing Certificate as an appropriate Registered Mental Health Professional
• Strong experience in mental health and addiction practice
• Clinical leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and support team development
• Experience coordinating complex care, referrals, or community support pathways
• Strong clinical judgement and confidence supporting team decision making
• Ability to build effective relationships across specialist, community, housing, and government services
• Commitment to recovery-orientated, person and whānau-centred practice
• Experience or interest in collaboration, co-design, service improvement, and system development
• Strong communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills
