Site Supervisor

Guaranteed hours: Minimum 30 hours per week
Maximum hours: 40 hours per week
Pay rate: $35 to $45.00 per hour

AROMA CONSTRUCTION LIMITED is seeking an experienced and reliable Site Supervisor to supervise construction activities and coordinate workers, materials and equipment across our construction sites in the Waikato region.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise daily construction activities and site workers.
  • Organise and coordinate labour, materials, tools and equipment.
  • Read and interpret construction plans, specifications and work instructions.
  • Allocate work and provide guidance to workers and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate site work programmes, deliveries and project requirements.
  • Monitor progress to ensure work is completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Inspect construction work and materials for quality and compliance.
  • Ensure all health and safety requirements are followed.
  • Conduct toolbox meetings and identify and report workplace hazards.
  • Maintain worksheets, progress reports, safety records and site documentation.
  • Regularly inspect tools and equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Report progress, delays and site concerns to management.
  • Communicate with contractors, suppliers and other relevant parties.
  • Assist with resolving operational and construction issues on site.

Minimum requirements

Applicants must have either:

  • Level 4 certificate or 2 years' supervisory experience

Applicants must also have:

  • Good knowledge of processes and workplace health and safety.
  • Strong staff supervision, organisation and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate site and project records.
  • Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
  • A valid driver licence.
  • Willingness to work at different construction sites within the Waikato region.
  • Ability to pass any required pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
