PAINTER / BRUSH HAND / PAINTING LABOURER
Harry Stamp Painting & Decorating - Tauranga
$25-$35 p/h depending on experience
Starting Monday 7 September | Ongoing casual residential work
Experienced painter - or keen to learn the trade?
Harry Stamp Painting & Decorating is looking for an extra pair of capable hands to join the team for ongoing residential painting and decorating work around Tauranga.
We're open to different levels of experience. You might be an experienced Painter or Spray Painter who can get stuck in from day one. You might have worked as a Brush Hand or Painting Labourer, or perhaps you come from a building, construction, or trades background and already understand what it takes to work safely and efficiently on site.
Alternatively, you might be looking for an opportunity to learn the painting and decorating trade from an experienced professional.
Either way, what matters most is that you're practical, hardworking, reliable and happy to roll up your sleeves.
Starting on Monday 7 September, there are plenty of hours for the foreseeable future for the right person.
ABOUT US
Harry Stamp Painting & Decorating is a Tauranga-based painting and decorating business specialising in quality residential interior and exterior work. With more than 17 years' experience in the trade, Harry brings together his UK training and many years of painting and decorating experience here in New Zealand.
The business undertakes everything from full interior and exterior repaints through to spray finishes, wallpapering, roof painting, cedar care and detailed residential decorating. This is a small, hands-on team where quality workmanship, reliability and doing the job properly matter.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Depending on your level of experience, your work could include:
Previous painting, decorating, spray painting, or relevant construction or trades experience would be a definite advantage.
If you're less experienced, you don't need to know everything from day one. A good attitude and work ethic, practical ability and common sense, punctuality, reliability, physical fitness, eagerness to get stuck into preparation and labouring work, and willingness to learn - will all go a long way.
WORKING HOLIDAY VISA? YOU'RE WELCOME TO APPLY
Harry originally came to New Zealand from the UK on a WHV, so he knows what it's like arriving here with skills, a good attitude and wanting to find decent work.
If you're travelling in New Zealand on a valid Working Holiday Visa and have previous painting, decorating, or renovation experience we'd be happy to hear from you.
Equally, if you're a local looking for ongoing work and the opportunity to develop a career in painting and decorating, this could be a great chance to learn from an experienced tradesman.
If you know your way around a paintbrush already - brilliant. If you know your way around a building site and want to learn - we're interested in talking to you too.
If this looks like a match for you, then please APPLY ONLINE to Kirsty Morrison from One21 Recruitment, who is handling the hiring for Harry Stump Painting and Decorating
