W & D Electrical Limited is seeking reliable and experienced Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technicians to join our team.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a minimum guaranteed 30 hours of work per week. Working hours will be scheduled between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, Monday to Saturday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment in industrial, commercial and domestic settings
  • Assembling components and parts to construct air conditioning and refrigeration systems
  • Repairing and maintaining compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators and pumps
  • Repairing and maintaining refrigerant, liquid and gas lines used in heating and cooling processes
  • Testing operational systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
  • Charging systems with gas or fluid to check for leaks, and using vacuum pumps to remove gas and fluids
  • Recovering and charging refrigerant in air conditioning and refrigeration systems

Job Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience; OR
  • A relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification or equivalent
