About the Role | Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi
You will report to our team coach and work in our Waitemata Acute Community Mobile team. We are a team of 9 support workers across three sites. We are a unique responsive service that co-locates and collaborates closely in partnership with the Te Whatu Ora Waitemata Acute Clinical team to provide support for tangata whai ora to offer short-term, intensive and intentional support for people who are experiencing distress of unwellness. This is a full-time position working Tuesday - Saturday, 11:30am – 8:00pm, based in Henderson, Auckland.
Responsibilities Include:
- Advocate and support people to be well and thrive.
- Connect them with resources that support them in living well and assist them in building resilience
- Help people connect with their communities, building the relationships that matter most
- Foster positive change for a more positive life
- Provide medication support for our people
- Support with attending appointments

We are interested to hear from people who have a caring nature and work in a recovery and strengths-focused way.
You will also have:
- Current full New Zealand driver's licence
- Current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
- Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent.
- Preferred experience in Mental Health or similar
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
