P&S Hornell Ltd is a reputable transport company based in Manukau City, Auckland, New Zealand, specializing in the delivery of chilled, frozen, and grocery goods. We are currently looking for a reliable Class 5 Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, exceptional driving skills, and the ability to manage varying delivery schedules while ensuring the safe transport of our products.

Key Driving Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class 5 vehicles, including semi-trucks and B-train combinations.
  • Transport chilled, frozen, and grocery goods across regional routes efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all road safety regulations and company protocols.
  • Maintain temperature integrity of goods during loading and unloading processes.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.

Work Schedule and Availability

  • Minimum of 32 hours of work per week, with full availability required.
  • Shifts may vary across day, afternoon, evening, and night hours.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is critical due to dynamic delivery requirements.
  • Zero-tolerance policy for schedule deviations or substance use during work hours.
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed to meet delivery demands.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Valid New Zealand Class 5 Truck Driver’s License is mandatory.
  • Current Forklift License required for loading and unloading tasks.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the trucking industry is essential.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol tests and medical evaluations.
  • Strong physical capability to handle loading tasks safely and efficiently.

Compensation

The hourly pay rate for this position is $33.60. We value the hard work and dedication of our drivers and ensure competitive compensation for their efforts.
