We’re looking for a customer-focused, knowledgeable person to join a busy Frame & Truss company in Cromwell.

This is a varied role combining customer service, sales support, materials coordination and delivery. You’ll be working closely with builders and customers to understand what they need for their jobs, organise the right timber and materials, and make sure everything gets to site when required.What you’ll be doing

  • Working directly with builders, contractors and customers
  • Understanding customer requirements and helping organise the materials needed for their jobs
  • Using your knowledge of timber and building materials to provide advice and practical solutions
  • Coordinating orders, materials and deliveries
  • Liaising with the depot and production team to ensure jobs are organised efficiently
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Delivering materials to construction sites across Cromwell, Wanaka and Queenstown
  • Loading and unloading materials
  • Towing and manoeuvring a trailer on construction sites, including steep and challenging accessWhat we’re looking for
  • Strong knowledge of timber and building materials
  • Previous experience in construction, timber, building supplies or a related trade
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Confident dealing with builders, contractors and customers
  • Good understanding of what materials are required for different building jobs
  • Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple requirements
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach
  • Full Class 1 Licence – essential
  • Confident towing a trailer
  • Physically fit and comfortable with loading and unloading materials
  • Sales or account management experience would be an advantage
  • OSH Forklift Licence beneficial but not essentialThe opportunity
