Marketing Officer

Discount Rentals Ltd T/A Discount Car Rentals has several branches across New Zealand. We are now seeking a Marketing Officer to join us. This is a full-time role requiring at least 30 hours per week.

Role Purpose

The Marketing Officer will identify market opportunities and develop, coordinate and implement marketing activities to support the growth of Discount Car Rentals across its New Zealand branch network.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct market research and analyse customer behaviour, market conditions and industry trends to identify opportunities for existing and new services.
• Develop and implement marketing plans, objectives and promotional activities to support business growth and increase brand awareness.
• Analyse marketing and sales data to evaluate campaign performance, customer demand and emerging market trends.
• Coordinate advertising and promotional campaigns across appropriate marketing channels.
• Advise management on marketing strategies, including service positioning, pricing, advertising and sales promotions.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing services and develop marketing initiatives for new customer segments and markets.
• Monitor competitor activities and market developments and provide recommendations to management.
• Coordinate marketing materials and promotional content to ensure consistency with the company’s brand and business objectives.

The successful candidate must have:

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience OR a relevant Bachelor’s degree at NZQF Level 7 or above.
• Strong market research and analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong motivation and a positive work attitude.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with management and other team members.
