Position: Metal Fabricator – Structural Steel

Hours: 30-50 hours per week
Pay rate: 32.00 – 34.00 per hour
Location: Auckland


Established in 2009, Steel Master Co. Limited is a New Zealand company specializing in the fabrication and installation of structural steel. We are currently seeking three experienced Metal Fabricators – Structural Steel to join our team.

The Role

As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling and installing structural steel components in accordance with drawings and project specifications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reading and interpreting structural steel drawings and specifications.

  • Measuring and marking structural steel materials accurately.

  • Cutting, drilling and shaping steel components to required dimensions.

  • Fitting, aligning and assembling structural steel components.

  • Welding structural steel components using appropriate welding techniques.

  • Inspecting and finishing fabricated steel components and welds.

  • Assisting with the installation and erection of structural steel on construction sites.

  • Following workplace health and safety procedures and maintaining tools and equipment.

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in structural steel fabrication

  • Relevant qualification or certificate is preferable but not a must 

  • Attention to detail
